Everything you want to know about Indo-European languages, their archaeology, history and connections. Very comprehensive and important.

Very detailed information about all facets of Oriental (Middle Eastern) Civilizations. Connections to hundreds of links and literally thousands of articles.


Vedic / Indus Civilization
All about language, script, religion and civilization of Vedic India. It has information about connections with early Mesopotamian civilizations.


Ancient World Web
Contains about 1100 articles or printable books for 13 categories. It is an extremely important site for the study of Ancient History.


World Wide Web of Archaeology
Point of entry to hundreds of portals in the subjects of archaeology. It is a must for those interested in the subject.


Ancient Sites
Points of entry to hundreds of discussion forums in all subjects of ancient history. It is much more comprehensive than the discussions in the New Groups.


Archaeology and the Bible
The name of the site tells about the content. It is heavily biased to the favor of the Bible, but it has also plenty of objective information.

A collection of links connected to Biblical Archaeology. Each link connects to further links, ad infinitum. Highly recommended.


Mysteries of the Bible

A database of books and periodicals about Archaeology. The site was compiled with the assistance of Amazon.com. Valuable for locating sources.


Egyptology Dedicated to the study of art, archaeology, religion and history of Egypt. Whatever you look for, it is there.

Perseus Project
A devolving online library of all subjects connected to the ancient world and beyond.


Pompeii Forum
An archive of images and articles about Pompeii and its art and architecture.

There is a tremendous collection here of a mixture of myths and serious scientific material, about possible astronomical origin of past mysteries. If you are interested, it is highly recommended.

The entry page to the History Channel. You can find there just about everything, if only you have the time for it.


Text Archive
Organized by territories and subjects. It has an internal search engine to help the search.

The Clearinghouse
It is a site for all sciences, not only for history. It has its own search engine. Worth while to try it out.


History Sourcebook
The site is divided between the three major historical periods, and about a dozen special regional histories. It is a comprehensive collection.


The Reformation
All about Europe of the Reformation. It is a must to everyone who is interested in the history of Europe of the 16th - 17th centuries AD. It has a large collection of links to other sites of history.


History of China
Detailed and illustrated history of China from archaic times until today. Contains a detailed bibliography too.


Image Archive
An incredible collection of pictures of art and archaeology from all parts of the word and from all periods of history. There is no museum which can even approximate it.


Virtual Library
Contains a huge collection of books, articles and documents that any historian needs for a research.
